Get a NA Miata or at least something fun thats still a beater. I had a motorcycle and an ep3 civic si in college, but a bicycle would have been the smarter choice .

don't sell your car. In fact, id take it to college. Just make sure you have full coverage insurance, invest in a alarm, and watch where you park. If your school has a parking garage then id park there. Cover your car with a cover. Just my two cents

i just noticed OP's screenname lol.
Motorcycle was a nice option. Makes going to and from class easier (if you live off campus). Plus (assuming you are a guy) only girls will want to ride somewhere.
Bicycles get stolen with the quickness. Plus it's more fun to walk around campus and run into strangers who will one day change how you look at life (both good and bad).
Wow, I want to go back to undergrad life...

When you have to park near other cars, try to get the end spot so you can park as close to that line/curb (that still didnt keep some people from dinging up my doors). I would say buy those seat locks and keep nothing in plain sight. I'm getting a garage this year, so I'll be a lot better off than I've been.

I attend a community college. So I don't have to park over night. But, I always try to get an end spot. For morning classes that means getting their 30 minutes before the class starts, but its worth it in my book. I used to put my car cover on at school for about three months, until I got a $40 ticket on day. See if you can use a car cover at school (look in the school rules, or ask the police office), it will give the car some protection from door dings or books on the hood or trunk. Not to mention the instant stealth factor for me. The gray cover turned it into an instant Sebring Silver LOL.
I say buy a beater civic, and don't worry about it. Especially since the car cover cost me $100.

Just to clarify, I drive my S2K daily but I've got nearly 3k for a beater so I'll try to find one. Hmm so would you guys suggest I use a car cover or not? I've already got a custom indoor/outdoor car cover with a cable lock kit that I was planning on using since the only parking garage is across campus and I'm not sure that students can park there. I'm just hoping the cover doesn't attract too much attention and cause it to get vandalized.. Thanks for all the helpful feedback!
