i wouldnt worry to much about gains when it comes to your exhaust, unless its a header or cat. its all in what you want

You should be able to find a used one dirt cheap since everyone seems to sell theirs after running it for a week. It's got to be the most obnoxious sounding exhaust for the S.

Comptech here, with a Megan test pipe.
A little loud,at low revs,(1k-3k)but nice deep tone.
Indiscernable at highway speeds;gains, maybe +3 hp,but you won't feel the difference.
Good quality build.

I bought one used with the promise it wouldnt sound like a fart can. I think it is what the factory should have made the car sound like. A nice low rumble tone so I can hear the engine and provide cues when to shift. There is a drone at some rpms but not too bad.

Thank you everyone who has replyed. I appreciate it. Another question: How does the sound of the comptech compare to the invidia? If anyone has heard both, I would valur you opinions. Thanks again.
About as different as you could get. Go to an S2000 meet, as the Invidia and Comptech are both very popular exhausts. You'll hear them for yourself. The Invidia is IMO one of the loudest, if not the loudest exhaust for the S2000. It doesn't sound bad at all, it's just very loud. The comptech is low, and IMO it's for people who want the nicer-looking aftermarket exhaust that isn't amazingly louder than stock. I have an electronic exhaust diverter which in essence a butterfly valve. My car is pretty loud when I get on it (with an intake, too) and the Comptech wasn't too much louder. I <3 everything Comptech though and I'm ordering one soon!

Very true, but I'm not too worried about power gains on this car. If I was, I would've kept my STi .
