Creepers - Can you recommend one?
 

My old and flabby body is starting to protest when I am crawling around and in and out from under my S. I've never used a creeper. But, I have a nice cement floor, so I'm considering trying a creeper. Do you guys use a creeper? Can you recommend one? Jeeper's Creepers by Lisle keeps coming up in my searches. Anybody have one?

I bought the cheapie from Harbor Freight and it works just fine. I do put a folded towel on the platform to get a little cushioning...

i purchased from matco for $99 because the skateboard wheels slide around like silk which was always my biggest complain about any cheap creeper. also even though the only cushion is for your head the plastic is surprisingly comfortable as its shaped to how a body is

Bought a cheepie now has a lot dust on, utter rubbish,i bought a car lift.

you need to get the S2000 up in the air fairly high to use a creeper without scraping your nose on the undercarriage. I have one but never really used it. They work well if you have lots of clearance to move around under the vehicle.

My aging body just wiggles and walks itself under on a Harbor Freight moving blanket.

I fear my days of crawling around on the cement under my cars may be numbered. Raising it up good and high on stands may be my only hope. But, I hear you.

Its seems like yesterday when I would be out there under my car on a a dirt driveway in the freezing rain with rust falling down into my eyes as a tried to keep my latest beater up and running. Fond memories actually. I recall times when my wife would be out there with a rain coat handing me tools like an operating room nurse. She has been a trooper. Still, when I'm stumped and getting frustrated, she nearly always finds a way to give me the answer while making me think I was the one who figured it out.

I have a supply of those spongy rubber play mat squares like they sell at Toys R Us, often I will toss a few of them under the car or under my knees when kneeling. They feel nice and soft and isolate the cold concrete/dirt well. If you can get one of those hydraulic side lift jack kits they might provide enough clearance for a creeper, otherwise you would need to use super tall jackstands and a large jack capable of pushing the car up high enough.

My EZ Car LIft will raise up to 4400 pounds 26" off the floor so it's easy to slide under with a $30 Harbor Freight low profile creeper which I tried on for size in the store. loosening tight bolts sometimes sends me across the floor, though, this rolls so well.

That EZ Lift is tempting. Its not cheap, and I'm not sure where the heck I would store it. Seems like I can get it pretty high off the ground with a long reach low profile jack and good stands. Not sure if its high enough.
