defrost button
Will the defrost switch in a 2007 s2000 always be in the middle of the console by the gear shift
|
Yes, that is the stock position. It is possible someone could have done something and swapped the switch to another location.
But if you are trying to confirm a model year by a pic of interior, there are better ways. |
I'm going to tag into this and request photos of AP1 and AP2s with defrost buttons. When I upgrade my top from the '01 plastic window style to glass window with defroster, I'm curious to see where the switches sit and how they look.

2000-2005 defrost is on the dash to the right of steering wheel.
2006-2009 is on center console. To convert your ap1 you should put it on the dash |
Photos, anyone?

My defrost button is by the arm rest. And in have an AP1 with Robbins glass top with defroster.

But it's the same button as the cruise control, just on the right side of the wheel. |
So I'm a little confused. Thanks for making the effort to take the photo for me. My searches for S2000 dash photos couldn't show that switch, that I could see.
I almost bought a switch for the center console, as I was informed that that is where the switch for my '01 AP1 should go. Hmmm. Besides the switch, I'll probably need a wiring harness, too, and figure out how to run the wires. |
