differences between 2001 and 2002
 

Hi,
I just ordered a 2002 S 2000 Red at Saskatoon Canada at MSRP (trade in my SiR). The delivery day will be early in Jan, but I am kinda worry about they will give me a 2001 instead of 2002 (cheat :( ), so how can i tell the differences, sine 2002 red and 2001 red looks almost the same??(like the Vin#) other than the exterior improvements.

The rear window is glass in 2002. Plastic in '01 & '00

Yeah, I know there are many exterior improvements, how about sth other than that, like the vin no. ????

..if you are that paranoid about your dealer; don't buy from him.

There are so many obvious changes in the '02, and if you just study this forum, then there is no way you will be screwed.

The WHOLE interior is colored in 2002

But i ordered a RED S 2000, 2002 black vs 2001 black, cant tell!!
Damn I forgot the get the INVOICE from them, $hit, is 3 hours drive to that dealer!!! is it a problem, should i ask them to mail the invoice to me???

jus make sure "2002 model" is written in your invoice, that case, u can 'reject' if u get a 2001! ordered my black/red from Netherland in Aug, delivery in Dec/jan, worried too that I'll get a 2001, but got it confirmed in writing.

its should be easy to tell the difference between 01 and 02. 02 has glass rear window, chrome rings around tail lights, tweeters, and chrome rings around the interior door handle. you can also check your vin number for a clue. if the last four digits are large numbers than its definitely a 01. all the 02 has small numbers at this time of the year, ie in the hundreds vs in thousands for 01. hope this help.
