Whats a good mpg for a two seater roadster?? A current gen miata only gets like 28-30 hwy right? For some reason most peopl thinks I should be getting 40+mpg though...I guess they assume small engine + light car = amazing gas mileage??

I love pulling to a pump with an SUV thats getting gas, filling my tank, and driving off before the SUV is done filling up - the owners always give me this look of envy. Not sure if its the gas, the car, or me though...

Dunno, but maybe the dirty look is for the way you drive the car?

You can get well over 30mpg even in an AP1 combined city/hwy... If you know how to drive it

Mostly I'm giving the monstrous vehicle drivers the dirty looks, as they fill up, on their cell phone, with their 1.5 kids in the back of the vehicle that seats 9 adults.

I got 28.5 with an AP1 on my first attempt - about 50/50 city/hwy - and that didn't even involve keeping it under 65 or some of the more advanced hypermiling techniques. Also running Z-rated wide tires and UK alignment with the top down...
