Disappointing S2000
Went to see a 2005 with 47k miles today. Car vibrated at idle, had numerous dings, but worst of all had a scratch from the right front fender all the way across the door and ended at the rear wheel well. Almost bald rear tires. For $17,500 + $399 dealer fee I think not!!! Arggg
You'd think used S2000s, being a performance machine targeted toward enthusiasts, would overall be in better condition than something like a used Malibu for instance. Unfortunately, as you've seen, that's not really the case. People don't know how to take care of cars. To make matters worse, where do cars receive the poorest treatment? Dealers.
Good luck in your search. Your car is out there.

It seems like the wealthier they are, the worst they maintain.

What I hate is when dealers think the buyer wouldn't notice these things when they see it. Why not just disclose it in the first place.
This is why I don't buy cars that are far away. It's a gamble and I rather not waste time and effort on a dealer that lied to me.

Look at the rear arches, full of rust.
