Default Discolored new air filter (OEM)?

I just ordered an OEM air filter for a MY2006. It came in a sealed bubble wrap type plastic bag. However, one side is of a slightly different color, as if it was exposed to sun. Is this normal? Should I contact them for a replacement?

If it came sealed I wouldnt worry about it. Although why did you need to get a new one? Your 06 should still be fairly clean, for that matter you shouldve gotten the K&N air filter.

It was sealed, so I don't think it got wet.

I got it thinking the filter was originally yellow, and I thought it was dirty when I saw the darker color of the filter in the car. But the new one is exactly the same color as my not-so-dirty filter... so I guess I will wait till 25k before replacing the old one.
