Hey guys, I got my top slashed about a month ago, and since them sowed it to get it to look decent. (no water or anything actually!)...

Anyway, I bought a new top with glass window from ebay (Robbins tops) and finally got here... I will be installing it saturday...

BUT MY QUESTION IS...

I have read a lol of posts on how to install it and nowhere does it say that you need cement glue, but on the instructions that came with the top it says you need it... WELL DO I?? And if so, for what part of the install??

P.S. just trying to gather as much info as possible before I decide to adventure into it...

 

I just installed mine 2 months ago, and there was no mention of cement glue in the instructions. Anyway, you don't need it but you will need a rivet gun, drill to take out the old rivets, screwdrivers, a ratchet and lots of patience. I think you may have gotten the wrong instructions for the top since you bought it off of ebay. Good luck to you!

 

If my memory serves me, you need to glue the top near the front where it fits snugly against the windshield.

Whole ordeal is a PITA.

 

Ohh ok so no cement glue...

and I need to drill the old rivets out? like push them out?... and then rivet the new ones back in?
