Does the S2000 have 3 stage Vtec??

I've heard from a friend that it does indeed have 3 stages of vtec. He also stated that all type are motors have this. Is this true??

no

I meant to say Type R motors. If not than I assume that it only has 1 stage which is around 6,500 rpms.

It's no to both or your questions. I'm not sure which if any Hondas have 3 stage vtec. All DOHC VTEC engines sold here in the states are 2 stage, meaning 2 cam profiles.

Donsn't the ITR have a two stage VTEC? And we only have a One stage VTEC?

Here's a page that describes what stage3 VTEC is and what cars it's used on. link

It also describes what DOHC VTEC does, and what SOHC VTEC does. I believe all DOHC VTEC engines are 2 stage. Stage 1 is the small cam lobe, Stage 2 is the large cam lobe.
