Does an S2000 really spin/crash that easy?

Strut bars (the top mount variety) on these cars really do no more than add weight. The front suspension on the S2000 is upper and lower A arms, not McPherson struts. Strut bars do have an effect on McPherson strut suspensions though. Spend the money on some really good tires and enjoy the car. The factory suspension takes a lot of cash to really improve upon it.

Strut bars don't depend on the type of suspension, they increase chassis rigidity and prevent flex between the towers; this car's chassis is so stiff already that it's a minimal improvement, if any (note the center brace below the airbox; it effectively makes them useless on this car, but they make an excellent arm rest when you're wrenching in the bay).

My guess by watching the speedometer is that he lifted off the throttle in the middle of the curve.

Throttle lift with virtually zero correction. It's been addressed elsewhere in the forums.
