Don't go nuts with the emblems
Hi guys,
Deep in my heart I know that it is anyone's right to do whatver they want with their own car, but I thought I'd pass on my experience with the three Corvettes I have owned.
There is a tendency for some Vette owners to go nuts with the accessories. I mean, you can buy virtually anything with the crossed flags emblem or "Corvette" on it. With certain exhaust and license plate frame and other purchases, it is possible to have the name Corvette on the car no less than 4 or 5 times and the crossed flags emblem 12-13 times with embossed billet stuff: brake light bezels, exhaust tips, plate frames, stick on stuff on the sides, etc, in addition to the two crossed flag emblems that come with the car from the factory.
Thankfully, I stayed away from putting all that crap on my cars, because it really looks like you are trying to say "look at me, I have a Corvette." The car speaks for itself, as does the S2000, and really doesn't need additional things stuck to it. And frankly, it just looks plain gaudy.
I have no problem with replacing emblems, like the ones being sold, but there are only so many "S2000" labels the car needs before it starts looking busy and in bad taste. Just my opinion from my Corvette experience. No offense to vendors intended.

I agree. I have S badges on front and rear and wheels. Stripped the S2000 logo off the grill precisely for that reason. IMO, that's just enough. By putting S badges front and rear and on the wheels, you're matching the frequency with which the Honda logo apppears on the exterior of the car.
Another point in my case. I don't hold onto cars for a very long time so I have to be careful about spending money on add-ons because I've learned you don't get anything out of them when the car sells, so I only do what I want for myself. And I've learned that dealers want unmolested (completely stock) cars when you trade them in. Some mods, particularly performance stuff, can hurt trade in value if you don't remove them before you go to the dealer because when they see them they figure the car has been ragged on.
