Default Double-tip dual exhaust

Ok, instead of consulting the vast knowledge that is S2KI, I decided to go off in secret in hopes of doing something that has never been done with an S (or so rare that you don't see it often). Everyone knows that the MY04 has a wider opening for the exhaust and the nice oval tip. Well I figured it would look even nicer with a dual-tip coming out from both sides. Unfortunately after days of searching I found nothing. So, in comes stupidity and frivolous money spending. I bought two dual tip Remus mufflers in hopes to make them fit the S. Well the cans were so long, I ended up having to take them to a fabricator to custom fab the cans so they were shorter. Now the cans fit, but the receiving end has issues all it's own that were not noticed before I started this project.

Anyway, long story short, I now have two shortened Remus dual tip mufflers (future style incase you're interested) that I cannot return b/c I decided to experiment. They look super nice, but I could not make them fit without having them exit at an angle toward the outsides or doing more fabricating (which I don't care to pay for).

So...what I want to know is, is there a dual tip setup for the S that I could have gotten from the beginning? I love that look and think it would really fit the MY04.

Oh, and no horsepower junkies please. I know I wasn't going to get any and maybe lose horsepower with what I did. I don't think it would have been enough to matter and the look is worth atleast 5hp to me anyway.

Try contacting Spugen. www.teamspugen.com or PM Duc (S2KI handle: AHHVTEC).

They've custom tailored many types of exhaust for the SoCal folks.

You need to check out what is available for the 996 Porsche.

There are many factory and aftermarket suppliers of the dual tip "finishers" (they are/were a factory option in chrome plated stainless for about $750 on all 996 series---sorry they are for a Por$che)

Some options are 1. Porsche Tekequipment (OEM) Porsche dealer or Importer
2. FVD in FL
3. Cargraphic in NJ
4. Techart Germany

Nice idea, but I've not seen anything cheaper than $300-$400 for a pair.

Good luck
