Default Driving Impressions

Yesterday I gave the keys to My 03 to a co worker and sat in the passengers seat for the first time in a year. Now my co-worker used to race sports cars and is now the head of mechanical design at my company. He also was a mechanic and driver at the Bonderant school.
For those who are not familiar with this school they started out to teach raceing drivers and branched out to teach guys who drive limos for persons who might get wacked or kidnaped on the road. This is definsive driveing with an attitude. He used to get to drive the chase car.
He was really impressed! Loved the short shift movement, said that this is the car that Lotus should have built. More then ennough power and a hell of al lot more fun then the Masda. We didn't have any twistys in the area but after a few freeway off ramps he was impressed with the way it held the road and didn't slide. Also had good things to say about the ammount of torque even in low revs like 3k RPM.
It was a nice time with praise from a real expert.

... and those are the aging individuals whose bodies no longer have adequate cushioning to absorb jolts from the rock-hard suspension
