hmmm lets think about it, which sounds better?.... making a still object slowly start turning at a 2.5 or 3k revolutions per minute, or forcing a still object to rapidly start turning at twice that rpm?

yes except most MY 2000's had a different clutch that rattled and had a weaker friction compound. was fixed with tsb 54 or 55 (i don't remember which).

I am no expert on the subject, but from what I have read and noticed from experience, it depends on where you drop the clutch.

1.) I feel that regardless of when you drop it, IF you are dropping it, you will eventually blow the diff.

2.) If you drop it at a very high rpm, all the force generated by the hgh rpms is delivered through the wheels and you spin like crazy...so, at worst, you are doing a little harm to your actual car, and most of it is on your tires...money.

3.) If you drop at a low rpm, all the force generated is not enough to spin the tires, so guess what takes all that...your car. not good...mo' money

4.) If you drop the clutch around the "sweet" spot, you get a little of tire spin, and the tires hook up. I guess this would be the case where you hurt your car a little, and a little it taken out on the tires. Either way, mo' money.

So what's this mean?

No problem, the car is made for that.
You can drop the clutch at 7000 rpm.every time you take off,and nothing will ever break!!!

You might have to replace the joystick once in a while.
