Exhaust
Alright, I've figured out that exhaust systems, to an extent, only give you sound and weight reduction because the gains are minimal. In an effort to not waste money, what is a good exhaust system that has a good sound (not rice) that is not too expensive? Does anyone know anything about those Espelir Exhuast systems that are being sold right know? Is there an exhaust system that has great proven gains that are cost efficient?
Sorry.......I found this thread funny after reading it... nothing personal...I'm in a strange mood today cause it's Friday...
You went from Magna Flow to Espelir JGT500 Exhaust......
There are plenty of exhaust that will give you gains due to free flow construction, single piping and through weight reduction if you are a numbers person.
There are plenty of exhaust that will give you great sound with no gain...
It's preference.....if you don't mind telling people that your setup is not a catback and is made of Magna flow mufflers...then do it...
I would recommend you look for alternative exhaust systems that are custom to the S and not just universal straight through mufflers.
If your going to pay money for extra noise that represents performance and in some cases HP....then why not buy an actual exhaust that gives you that.
Get the "Nikes"......not the "Sikes"......

mmphs,
those were my thoughts also, but I also don't want something that screams.. After much thought, i figured i will end up spending the money (up to $600) because i will get the sound but 3-5 hp's is still 3-5 hp's.. and they look real nice on the car too.. but all in all, i think sound and looks are more of the deciding factor considering the minimal gains.. just my on opinion though..

If you want to spend money for sound, take your girl to the drive-in theater or that hilltop or lake at the edge of town ... you know the place. Oh baby, oh, oH Baby, OH BABY ... OH OH BABY, OhhhhH Baaaby. That's the best sound that ever eminated from my S ... and, when the air around my S was surrounded by that sound, I don't remember even thinking about my cars exhaust system ... now that you mention the car, I notice that the shocks did fine and it would be nice if the damn seat reclined, just a little further.
