FPR and V-AFC
Ok My question or concern is this:
I just read the following article
http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fifth-afc/ecu.shtml
With the recent post about having to readjust the FPR after each dyno (I think it was Prolene that posted that) now I am wondering if getting a V-AFC or an FPR is worth the trouble unless there is some work around for our ECU.
Any thoughts?

I have a V-AFC and I think it is definently worth it. I went from 199 whp to 213 whp and now get about 30 mpg on the highway. It makes a noticable difference in torque too. It only got set the one time and so far the settings are the same. It's pretty low maintenance. I highly recommend it
Yeah that is what I am afraid of after reading that article. That the ECU will undo what the V-AFC does.
I know that the V-AFC is dyno proven and that means a lot.
Is there anyone who has taken their car back to the same dyno to see if the ECU adjusted to the V-AFC.
Also I have done some reading and my concerns could be false due to the fact that the V-AFC intercepts the signals from the ECU so the ECU is irrelevant.
OR
I could be totally wrong and the V-AFC alters the signals going INTO the ECU and therefore the ECU would be able to adjust. I sure hope someone smarter than me chimes in
My brain hurts!

Contrary to popular belief, our ECU is not intelligent. It doesn't learn a mod and adjust accordingly. It does no compensate for the V-AFC. there was a post a little while ago about this ame thing and it pretty much turned into a yeah it does/no it doesn't/yeah it does/no it... and on and on. I'm telling you that I know first hand as I have a V-AFC and I have heard from some higher ups at honda. Our cars are not that exotic. We don't have cool stuff like that (thank god). If for some reason you get a V-AFC and think that the ECU is compensating over time just pull the circuit breaker for about 15-20 seconds and that will reset everything back to normal. Good luck with the V-AFC. It is a very worth while purchase

VTECnology ...... where can I get one, what does it cost, and is it simple to install ??? After it is installed, to use V-AFC do you control it with a dial on the dash board?? It sounds like it sends false readings to the ECU causing the ECU to lean out the mixture. Any explaination would be appreciated. Thanks.
you can get a good deal at autocarparts.com
Read the post at https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=33029 also. It talks about pricing and some other issues. It is kind of a pain to use at first as you really have to tune it on a dyno because no two engines react the same to identical settings. It does a lot more than just lean out the air/fuel ratio. It is worth it though and if you do get one I'd be happy to post my settings as a good starting point.
