You then sign the title to the car and they drive it away with the difference check which they quickly cash, and a few days later they find the check was a fraud.

Your out the difference and your car, they have the signed title to the car, and they ship it out of the country where it can never be recovered.

Are you sure? Most of the reports I've heard of this particular scam they're just after the money. They never come to actually pick up the vehicle, because that would require a face-to-face meeting which could lead to a positive identification later on.

Thats a good one. You get sent a check while you are going to send 6K back via western union. Why not ask him to send you the $$ via western union.

Just to save you 2K send me 4000 not 6000. This way you save 2K and get to keep your car. The the value of you car 21,000 + 2K saving = 23,000K

See you come out ahead.

Please wire the money ASAP.

Accept the deal, then ask them to come pick up the car and their 6,000 in cash and beat the shit out of them if they ever show up. Scam suckers like this should die.

Don't just garbage the e-mail. Call the FBI, this is a federal offense and they'd be interested.
