Default Gap in the plastic pieces behind the seats?

Anyone else have an issue with the plastic pieces behind the seats separating? Mine have separated and I can’t seem to get them back together.

The driver's side on mine (04) looks like yours. The passenger side has zero gap. Haven't tried correcting it.

Same here. I thought it was an issue, started to try and address it, but quickly concluded (only an assumption) that is how its supposed to be.

I guess mine is wrong then...

All the interior panels were removed/replaced last year when the roof was replaced. Have no idea how they looked before that work.

I have the same issue. Tried fixing a few times and after a while stopped worrying about it.

Awesome, glad to know I'm not crazy. I tried addressing as well, but could not get it back together. It's almost as if time/sun has permanently change the shape/size of the plastic.

Must be connected to the gap in the rear bumper, next to the tail light!! But, at least the rear bumper gaps are exactly the same on both sides on my car.

Some people find gaps attractive. Embrace the gap.

There are screws that hold the panels in place, after a while the panels get cracks in the mounting clips and you get movement back and forth, I had that on mine and I didn't like seeing it, you can likely knock it tight and then it will move back and loosen up again. if you take the surrounding panels off you will see what I mean, there could be a missing screw on that panel but more than likely the clip is cracked, worth a check if it does bother you. I even tried putting a screw through it but it didn't work.

You guys made me go look at mine. I was surprised to see mine (2009 with original top) had a uniform gap on the drivers side with no gap on the pax side. Never noticed before.
