If you're ready to get out of the S2000, but you can't give up the digital dashboard, you could go to an Insight. My dad has one, and it has even more digital goodness than the S2000.

analog gauges provide a better representation of how fast the engine is revving IMO. i have redlined the s way more than any other car i have ever had. i suppose it takes some getting used to with the digital tach. i prefer analog gauges for appearance as well but the digital does fit this car. in spite of this, i still got the car and it's been great so far.
Sounds like you need one of Modifry's shift beepers. I don't have enough time to look at the tach much when driving all out. The Modifry beeper announces where the rpms are while it's getting real exciting. I have mine set at 300 rpm intervals.

I was never a big fan of digital until I got my S2000. Now, after using it for almost two years, I think it's one of my favourite things about the car. The sweep of the 9,000 digital dash makes it so clear where you're at. And the digital speedo is much easier to see than analog. Ooops, 95!

I recently test drove a Lotus Elise, and the analog tach was very difficult to see, especially with an engine that tachs out at high rpm because the dial gets small. S2K digital is better.

I'm just glad it's not a big square like the C4 corvette:

ick! what a mistake. That one looked like my bass boat's dash.

yea a shift light would probably be a good idea...for safety moreso than for racing! those c4's are a real pain in the butt to get in and out of too.

yeah, but they started that in 1984! Corvette used that guage cluster from 1984-1989 (some of you board members were not even born yet in '84). That was pretty cool for its day, and there was a lot nastier things in 1984. Just think atari graphics!

Well if you want the digital guage and you don't want an S2000 you could get a new 'Vette. Make sure to get the Heads-Up display. It has a tach sweep similar to the S2000, and NO looking down at all to see it.

yes i'll just run and swap for the corvette. the insurance is outrageous on them so i didn't really look too deeply at them when i got the s. i don't want you confusing or mentioning KITT and the mid-80's corvettes in the same sentence...everyone knows that KITT rocked. i think 0-60 times were .3 seconds or something...pretty good huh?
