hi....i currently have a spa yellow s2000 and plan on getting the hood painted black...anyone here ever got their hood painted black? and about how much would it cost????

Why would you want to do that?.... Painting cost will depend on the quality you want. Anywhere from $300 to $1000

 

Why would you want to do this? Go buy a aftermarket hood if you want this look, don't ruin the aftermarket paint. A black hood makes it look like you just crashed your car and don't have enough money to paint it.

 

If you are going for that carbon fiber hood look, I'm sure you can find one used for about the same price it would cost you to repaint your hood.

Just to give you an idea of painting costs. I just had my front bumper painted and to get an almost perfect match they also feather painted my hood, which was good because they got rid of all my stone chips. The cost for just the paint work was $946.00.

I agree buy a used CF hood.

 

It's badly enough that people buy carbon fiber hoods and insist on not painting them on their non-black cars. And you actually want to paint your hood black to make people think you have a carbon fiber hood?
