Default Getting TSB-055 done tommorow @ Staten Island Honda

I have a MY 01 car, but still have the 1-2 grind. Gettin the TSB tommorow at Staten Island Honda. I really hope that the car is not messed up at all after the fix. Have heard many horror stories. Anyone care to share a positive response to the fix?

I'm going on week two in service for TSB 54 & 55. Some of the tranny parts are on backorder. You might want them to check before you have to wait it out...

I took my car in to fix the 2nd gear grind in NJ....... instead of replacing the gear set, they 'burnished' the 2nd gear.

So far so good. It doesn't grind anymore.

Hudson Honda stated only if burninshing doesn't fix the problem, they'll replace the tranny (as recommended by Factory).

I wish you all the luck in the world. After the first 'attempt'...I ended up with a new tranny. This only took 44 days in the shop.

CDELNA,

Thanx for your feedback.

I'm going to confront this with my dealer this week. Some heads are gonna roll if factory recommended not to burnish and they decided to take a short cut!.........

But to tell the true, it did eliminate the grind. However, I'm afaid it may cause long term problems.

Thanx again cdlena!
