Greasing Top Seals?

Just looking through my S2000 file yesterday and found under
"Notes for Taking Delivery" comments about applying silicone grease every three to six months to all rubber seals that form the seal between the top and the windshield and windows. Everybody but me doing this?

This maintenance is highly recommended. The product is called Shinetsu silicone grease. It's available at your Honda dealer either in stock or by ordering (part # 08798-9013).
