thanks for your help i already have the hardtop strikers cuz when i bought my car the stock ones were all worn. i planned on getting the HT so i just went ahead and got the strikers ahead of time.

the side catches are still pretty pricey but maybe i can find some used ones somewhere.

rsxtaci your license plate just crushed me... I literally just ordered "OMGVTAK" plates for my S lol.

As for mounting hardware, I'm sure if you need anything Jeff@HTG can help you out, he's awesome Good call picking up the strikers a while back though, that should make it a bit easier for you as you won't need to deal with finding them and buying them now.

thanks guys, i feel tons better haha the $600 price tag on the install kit was killing me.

spoke to ken (parts dude) and he says basically the hardtop comes with the install kit and comes with everything needed to install it on the 01 - cuz in the instructions it lists things and says "not needed" .. i figure this means it's in the kit but for the 02 you don't need to use it.

right? ugh i hope, lol.

i'm sure i'll get it worked out.

again thanks for the advice.. and Jerry.. i'll be matching you soon lol

And how difficult is it to remove and put back on?
With a helping hand the top can be put on/taken off in less than 2 min.
