Default Theft, New s2000 owner desperately need help!

Hi everyone, long story short, I just bought my s2k last month, a 2002 model with only 28000 miles!!!
perfect condition,see my pictures,
and last week, it was broken in and two seats were stolen. This is what before and now
I updated the pictures after checking out the seats they quote for, I do think they are in comparable condition...

My seat

The quoted one

As you see the car is in mint condition, exterior and interior are excellent!

However, the insurance company estimate only 750 bucks for each seat from a family owned shop. I found most people lost their seats got 2000-3000 for each one. And the one they found for me is nothing like my old one.
How Can I argue with insurance company, I am using statefarm!

No, what I mean basically is they should at least go to some honda dealers to make the estimation rather than a little family owned car shop. I am not expecting big money dude, no one wants this happened to their new baby...

Sorry for your loss man, you didn't tell us what kinda seats you are getting from this family owned business, I would take'em if they are mint if not I will demand to take the car to the dealership. Where are you getting the top fixed at? They can't impose their choice of shop on you can they?

at least it was just the seats, most S2000 break ins are cluster, steering wheel, seats, radio, etc. there have been seats for sale on here.

First, I apologize for your loss. Second, I'm not sure about the laws in your state, but you should contact an independent insurance agent and ask for clarification. Here in Colorado, insurance companies can only put used (often referred to by them as "lnu" like new used) if you agree, and they are in like new condition. If your car is truly perfect, it shouldn't be hard to argue that its impossible to find "like new condition" seats. I have sold some amazing sets of black seats for over $1500.00 a pair, but none the sets looked brand new, they looked almost brand new.
However, keep in mind, if you argue this point and demand to take your car to the dealer, the replacement cost will likely total your car. Honda does not sell compete seats. They have to be pieced together(and never look as good as from the factory) with a cost of around 3000-3500 per seat. Throw in 750.00 for a replacement top canvas, then ten hours labor for replacement @ the dealerships rate of 101.00 an hour, thats 7700.00.
Your car will most likely be totaled.

Hope this helps.

Thanks man! I guess they can only total your car if the repair exceeds 75% of value, I found KBB and NADA price is about 14000-16000. Lets say the actual cash value is 13000, I doubt if they have a good reason(10K plus loss) to total my car.

So sorry to hear it. I didn't like the sound of the replacements either, but give them a chance until proven otherwise.

When you do get the new seats, gets an alarm and some security seat bolts.
