clutch was just replace
The car needs a little body work and a new top

ANYONE ON HERE KNOW IF ITS WORTH BUYING?
PARTS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACE IS
FRONT BUMPER (A LITTLE BANGED UP)
SOFT TOP (PLAN ON GETTING THE MUGEN HARDTOP)
NEEDS NEW BRAKE PADS (EASY REPLACE)
THE CAR RUNS STRONG AND FINE.
JUST WHEN YOU TURN THE CAR ON IT MAKES A LOUD NOISE FROM THE ENGINE THEN AFTER 25 SECONDS IT GETS QUITE.

Even if you just bought it to part out it would be worth that price.

Good seats: $1200

Headlights/ballasts/bulbs: $600

Tail lights: $200

Engine: $2,250

Transmission: $1000

Differential: $300

AP2 V1 wheels: $600+

That's already $6,100 worth of parts (figured on the low end) and that's just the big stuff.

So long as the motor/tranny and other important mechanical bits are sound, then yes, it's a good deal.

a rocker panel replace isn't a light hit, it's a HEAVY hit, likely that car was t-boned or possibley slid into a pole. Was the floor board pulled out & repaired as well or was it replaced? what about the quarter panel and a/hinge pillar? if it was repaired poorly, it's going to be a can of worms.

engine starting and making a loud noise for 25 seconds...i know that if you posted that motor for sale and put in that in the ad, i wouldn't buy it.

I'd stay away and keep looking until you find a decent car.

It's a good deal depending on the condition of the repairs. We can't really give you good advice on the condition of it without seeing it first hand.

actually, a salvage title car will have a lower value, hence less risk for the insurance company and typically warrant a lower insurance premium quote.

The engine thing is my biggest worry. Have a mechanic check it out. Might be nothing or a lot.

Bumper and top might cost you $2500.

Let us know how it goes.

I'd get a comp/leak down test perform before committing to that purchase...but awesome deal if the motor and tranny are good. Check the clutch res. too, see how dirty it is, good indication on how well the car has been maintained. I'd also get the frame checked out while it's on the lift and make sure the frame isn't bent.
