Default Hi i just got my S2000 and i have a question for you guys on something.

Hi this is my first post...4 days ago i got my s2000..its a 2001 silverstone with red leather..and wow i love it...We are deffinitly a lucky group of people to drive such a bad to the bone car. Ive been reading thru alot of these posts and i came across the smoked headlights and smoked side markers done by ruexp67. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=141880 Now i think this looks great and i was wondering do you guys think with this set up (the smoked headlights and side markers) would look good with gun-metal powdered coated stock rims? im thinking of powdercoating my stock rims gun metal but im not sure if it would look good...if someone could do a photoshop i would appreciate it tremendously...cause i have no idea how to do that. ive asked alot of friends and i get a mixed reaction on it. so if you guys could give me your honest opinion id really appreciate it..thanks

Ryan

Congrats on the purchase! That is my favorite color combo. Gunmetal definitely looks good on silver. I plan on getting Work S2R 18 inch wheels in Burning Black (Work's version of gunmetal) The smoked diffussers and side markers are all about taste. If you like it go for it. I for one have the jdm clear sidemarkers and will soon get the jdm style clear diffussers from Rick's.

Enjoy your new ride.

wow those rims are deffinitly nice and would look crazy on an s2000....ive been searching for them and have only found them in silver...do you know of the side that has them in Burning Black? and still do you think the stock rims would loook good powdercoated gun-metal or would you jsut go with getting new 18 inch rims. i know of course the new rims would look better. but im trying to decide what i wanna do to my car with my money..and theres not much money lol...so if you guys could tell me your opinion on powdercoating the stock wheels that would be great. but i do really like those rims Simonss2k thats a great look on s2000 you kinda have me intrested lol.

I think it would be cool. It would be hard for me to give up my chrome wheels. If you do it, then look for the darker chrome S2000 logo for the side. I think it would complete the look.

Ryan, on the Work S2R the spokes would be Burning Black and the lip is polished. I have only seen them in silver on the S as well.

As for the gunmetal finish on the oem wheel, that would be awesome! It would definitely make your car stand out. I've seen them powercoated in black as well as white, but gunmetal, you might be the first.

yea i was thinking about it and with smoked headlights with the oem rims powdercoated gun metal might look really good. i wish i could tell before i did it...like if i saw it on a diffrent s2000....does anyone know how to do photoshop well who could do that?...that would be great if anyone could...and also would you guys suggest doin the smoked headlights from that rick guy your self or send the headlights to him and let him take care of it...im thinking hard about it and im not sure as of what i should do...knowing me id prob ruin the $800 headlights and that would kinda suck...so many decisions to make about this car....ive been thru 4 in my life and im only 20 and this one is something special...all my friends want one now lol.
