to be totally honest.... i never even though you guys would think someone would come onto a forum like this asking a question like that to steal a car. If I wanted to steal an s2000, I would get all 9 of the immobilizer chips and hold them next to the column and then hot wire the car.

anyways... I have done some research, and I have learned that on the type 3 system, there is a seperate immobilizer brain that decodes the signal from the key and tells the ecu that its ok to start. So, there are 4 parts... the key, the key cylinder, immobilizer module and the ECU. Do you know for sure that this isn't the case?

here's what you said:
Here's why you guys don't know what your doing. They type 3 immobilizer system can not be bypassed by simply locating the module. There isn't a "bypass" button or a wire I can simply give ground to start the car.
And yet I said this in the very post BEFORE you said that:
If the ECU does not get that signal from the immobilizer, the ECU won't start the car. So even removing the immobilizer won't do you any good.
So I just said that, and then you repeated what i said and said we didn't know what we were talking about.

your presumptions so far:

"we know nothing about our own cars"

"we all could read your mind and would know exactly what you're trying to do, so you sounded legit"

"why would we even think someone would come onto a forum asking a question like that to steal a car"

A. we know plenty about our cars. there are people here with more knowledge than you can shake a stick at.

B. you gave NO information on why you needed to know the information you needed to know. hence, a presumption was made you were an amateur theif who didn't know where the immobilizer was, nor the fact that you can't bypass it.

C. why would we think that? because people have tried it.

As stated. if you're pulling the engine, key cylinder, ecu, harness, wiring, tranny, etc. that's all you need, assuming you have the key that goes with this engine as well.

However, calling me an amateur thief is a rather in mature thing to say.
1. You're a d!ck.
2. You're a l0ser.
3. I'm glad you don't have a real S2k.
4. Nobody called you an amateur thief. We were just explaining why we were laughing at your request.

If I ran into a store dressed like a bum and asked them to change a $100 bill, don't you think they'd look at me strangely?

As opposed to running into a store dressed like a bum and explaining that I'm going to a costume party, pointing to my car, and opening my wallet and showing them the wad of bills.

It's all in the presentation and the explanation. And since you're asking for help, that onus is on you.

I love when people not only ask for help, but are arrogant enough to demand the help the way THEY want it.

"I'm hungry, can you spare anything.... oh wait, that burger has pickles... can you kindly remove them, please?"

IMO, you got what you deserved for insulting everyone by saying we didn't know what we were talking about, and didn't know our own cars. yet then continued to ask for advice.....

hmm.

While we're on the subject of defeating this car's security system, can anyone step me through the process of hotwiring this car in less than 30 seconds.

I need it just in case I have to swap out an engine and I'm in a speed swap contest at the same time like maybe I'm on junkyard wars with an S2K I have to pull the engine out of to put into my junkyard machine to crush the most soda cans.....
