Traditional Two-Stage VTEC is always more fun than i-VTEC... And some DC5 owners i know agree with me...

you're right. they ARE more fun. when i first revved my s2k past 6000rpm, i was a bit disappointed because the vtec "kick" that i was so accustomed to from my previous cars was not as noticeable.

A lot of members don't want to see this change into i-VTEC because they "don't want to fix what ain't broke." -Ken

I'm always down for the less complicated and easier to tune old two stage VTEC.

Newer means better in this case. I want to see the i-vtec in the S2000. Name one Honda product that was worse than it's predecessor.

I like the kick in the pants feel of VTEC vs the linear feel in our I-VTEC civic si...

i-VTEC is superior to VTEC in every way (except cost/complexity . A smoother VTEC transition is also faster.

Alas, the 2004 will _not_ have i-VTEC - you can take that to the bank.

What exactly is I-VTEC?

Does it mean that there is a third set of cam settings in addition to the standard high and low in the current S2000?

I think the 2002 Civic Si is worse than the 1999-2000 Civic Si.
