Storage Room in a Roadster?

Among the S2000's other unique points, it offers some of the least storage space of any sports car around-- even less so than the Porsche 911. While this means nothing for purely sporting purposes, if there's any case you'll want to take it on a trip or even for groceries, you're going to have to get smart about your use of the real estate.

There are numerous resources online to learn how to pack lightly and smart so that everything that you need for a week or even longer can fit into a carry-on suitcase. Two carry-on suitcases fit in the S trunk WITHOUT needing to remove the spare tire or its cover. That leaves room for backpacks or other items on each side of the trunk. For larger items, I've used a removable luggage rack that secures to the trunk lid, as have a few others on this forum.

You can learn how to pack a week's worth of clothing in that 21 or 22-inch carry-on suitcase. Laundry once a week or so and you can keep traveling until you run out of gas money. I've traveled in the S with a partner and packed just so for more than two weeks. Others have made longer trips.

You don't return from a trip and say that you wish you would have carried more, or larger bags. Take tips from experienced travelers and lighter your load. The S is plenty big enough for two to travel in.

It’s funny. The Honda fits my golf bag, no problem. My mazda hatchback requires letting the rear seat down slightly. Go figure.

The interior behind the seats is gone... there is a surprising amount of room opened up by this. I generally pack stuff up in the rollbar jungle gym. A tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, two pillows, and a cooler fit in there with ease -- then you've got the whole trunk for whatever else (tools, spare set of rotors, helmet, backpack, etc)

Eggactly. I can fit my golf bag and a couple soft sided bags for a long golf weekend.
