Not with you driving it. You'll end up breaking it before you'll ever turn in a good time. I'm guessing this is the first car you've actually driven on a drag strip, right?
This will be my 3rd car going down the track with actually. It was my first time in a honda though so I was unsure on how to launch the car. You say it wont run good with me driving funny when I drove my old bosses 1500 whp tacoma and pulled a 8,20 out of it when we went to a test and tune in NY was pretty good. Im not saying im the best driver but im sure if I had more than one pass that night I would have gotten a much better time thanx for the negative comment though

Don't worry about these guys, they're not going to give you an easy time. Do what you want with the car. Dragging does take skill, so the comments about that are unneeded as well. Just make sure you launch the right way and shift fast, but not powershifting. PM wisconsins2k if you need help with dragging the s2000, he does this often.

Aparently sometimes they last 15-16 secs.

An 8.20 with 1500WHP doesn't take THAT much skill. Well, it takes skill to build it, not to drive it.

Drag racing is a Mechanic's sport, not a driver's sport.

Mutilate your car all you want, enjoy. However it will NEVER be "fast" going down the track unless you take the body off, build a whole new car underneath it and then put the body back down on it.

10 seconds huh, i hope you have 20k just for a motor and another 30k for all the differentials and transmissions you will go through. the s2000 already has the most hp per liter than any other street car. its going to be very hard to increase that amount safley. your best bet would be to detune the motor and slap a fat turbocharger on there if you want the motor to last mor than the 10 seconds your trying to achieve.

And I've never understood people that just put springs on their car without shocks, "upgraded" to heavier wheels, and put on intakes that gain no power whatsoever. (~Eibach pro kit~MB Motorports Weapon Rims~PRM intake)

^to each his own, people can do what they want to their car

GDM, 10 seconds will be a world record. The fastest s2000 right now has an 11.1 so I think your 10 sec quote is a bit off. However, with a good turbo setup and safe street tune I'm sure you can get into mid 12s though. Good luck with it.

The rest of you, this car can be whatever it is you want it to be. I hate how people say "it's not a drag car blah blah blah" it just shows your ignorance and willingness to follow what everyone else says. With a turbocharger, this car has plenty of torque. With an updated clutch and one of the Nissan drivelines, the car will be as drag ready as can be. Yes it costs money, but that's not the point.
