How do you program new remotes to your car?

I am selling a couple of remotes from my S2000 and I had a few people ask me how to program them to their car.
I am unsure how to.
Do any of you out there know how to do it on an S2000? Does anyone know how to do it on a CRV?

Thanks
Jim

for all newer Hondas, open the drivers door. Insert the key and turn it to on (position II). press the lock button on one of the remotes. Turn the key off but not all the way (position I) and then back on and press the lock button on the remote again. Repeat this 3 times and you should hear the door locks cycle on the third time. After you hear it cycle press the lock button on all the remotes that you want programmed to the car. After your done turn the key off and test them out.

Has anyone else tried anything different and had it work?

If the driver door is open, the door locks won't cycle.

Has anyone been able to program an Acura transmitter to a Honda, or vice versa? I would like my S2000 transmitter to work on my S2000 AND my wife's Acura TL. The transmitters look nearly identical.
