im sure youd get new tires after purchasing the car anyway. the top is a big issue. id offer 10k and work from there. maybe id offer 11k if he replaced the top if theres a hole.

i just bought a used 00' with 69k for around the same, however with a couple of "nice" mods including the aftermarket deck.


10.5-11k is more reasonable.

Called owner and he said the top has been replaced.


Car had been in a Honda shop where it was broke into and the seats and lights were stolen. The shop replaced all the parts. :-/

Talked to the guy today and he tries selling me on the point of the stereo...


again, I'm buying a car, not a Cd player that rolls on 4 wheels.

Just because it was broken into doesn't mean it would automatically have a salvage title. Especially considering it was at a dealership, and that dealership replaced the parts, the insurance company was probably never involved. Although if it was salvaged, the price is WAY too high (think about half that).

I went to check the car out today:

Owner hung out with people that looked like Nick Hogan.

Crotch rockets abundant and other nice cars parked all around. I'm guessing it was a kid with rich parents, or a kid who stretched his budget too thin and lived beyond his means.

The trunk was dented in, right next to the tail light it was rusting from a huge chip. Scratches on the bumper. Wasn't even in nice condition... sad that S2000's could get that way...
