$100 Battery, $250 preemptive Billman TCT change. One snap on the top cover went Awol. Pricey at $28 for just one snap. $50 for 3/4" drive set to tighten rear axle TSB.

Then there is $16 for the valve adjustment tool. (Exhaust valves were tight) $6 for curved feelers. 49K miles.

10 years, 100,000 miles, 40+ hours of VTEC at of all places Sebring International Raceway..........1 TCT replacement. I'm just now starting to think about replacing some of the suspension bushings. If my 2005 S2000 impresses me any more I'm in danger of tattooing it on me. Its not my first sports car and I do religious maintenance. I don't see any other package meeting the standard of value, build quality, reliability, performance, and track competence that the 2005 S2000 has set.

I do need to plan for the 50k service so all fluids will be changed and all tolerances will be checked.

In two years and 20k miles, I've spent $250 for a valve adjustment. I do need a new soft top, though. I'm saving that for next year.

I spent about 500 dollars this year tracking down a simple misfire. I spent about 500-600 on repairs. They included a new set of injectors, a new CMC and slave cylinder. After those incidents the car has been pretty reliable. Cost to maintain the car is a lot higher for me than repair bills. Since I owned the car I replaced the brakes, tires, spark plugs, Valve adjustment, transmission fluid, brake fluid, a lot of oil, and differential fluid. Cost me easily over 1500$ for everything.

On modifications I spent about 300 for new leather for the arm pad and ricks center counsel cover.

It's a 2005, bought November 1, 2005.

To date, I've put 143k on it, and have only had to do
- oil changes, $35/ea?
- a couple diff & trans fluid swaps, $30/ea?
- swapped diff (was only getting noisy, didn't break), $400
- spark plugs once or twice, $20?
- an engine air filter, and an A/C air filter, $45ish
- clean off TCT once about 20k ago, free
- recharge A/C twice, once due to stupidity of being young, $30ish
- swapped my top in February due to someone cutting it, $579 and a few hours
- few sets of tires, but have been lowered on Skunk2's w/o an alignment for about 6-7 years, have no clue on $

That's it.
I need to get around to getting another set of tires, alignment, clutch master cylinder, and then some body work.
Would like to do a complete rebuild on the motor just because, but that won't happen until I pick up a new daily driver.

2 years ago I had an air bubble in the axle-nut portion of the OEM right half shaft reveal itself to be about 3mm less than the diameter of the shaft, on a Los Angeles freeway. A weeks wait for a new half shaft and about $600 out the door.

No other real repairs, just regular diy fluid and valve maintenance and a primary 02 sensor at 93k miles for peace of mind.

im at 265k miles as of today. i've owned the car since 160k miles. at around 200k miles I had a hell of a time replacing stuff.

i've replaced:

-both axles
-engine (195k miles)
-aftermarket tct on new engine
-clutch master cylinder
-trunk release assy

couldn't tell ya what was done before I got it. I did all the work myself so I was really only out about $3k for the above things, if that much. It has been autocrossed, drifted, and seen the track once. For that i'm very happy with its reliability and it still gets nearly 30mpg. All smiles here.

edit: I forgot my a/c found a leak last summer.. Just havent fixed it yet.

Coming up 2 years and 20k-something miles added, to a total of 95k miles.

So far, its been fluids, filters (oil, air, cabin), tires, alignment, front brakes, plugs, valve adjustment, regrease shifter and Slave pusher rod, none of which I'd call 'repairs'. All work done by myself (except tires and alignment), so not much actual outlay anyway.

For actual repairs, also done myself so parts only, its been MC, front Compliance Bushings, and new shifter bushings when I regreased shifter.

Very reliable car. Extremely reliable for a Sportscar.
