I decided it was a topless kind of day, cloudy, cool, and a very low chance of rain... so I asked the girl I'm seeing if she would help me take my hardtop off. We went outside, I parked the car closer to my apartment, unclipped everything, and told her all we had to do if lift it straight up.

Now let me just say, she's in a USMC commissioning program, can do 15 pull ups, and is in really good shape. She's also really hot, curly blonde hair, A+ body.

She's not the first girl I asked to help take the top off. Being that she's a Marine, 5'4" 110lbs or not, I expected her to be able to lift the hardtop.... we lift it up, and the glass hits the trunk, she didn't grab it by the spike thing. So I told her to grab it and that it'll scratch the car! She couldn't lift it, so the spike scratched up the area between the trunk and soft-top area......... So I had to lift it over my head and carry it back in myself.

Army strong>USMC today... with bad consequences. I don't think she's girlfriend material anymore.

I give my girl special advice each time we lift it off. Taking the time to show her how to properly lift the roof has kept the car scratch free. She even has to lift it over the wing from time to time, not easy for someone who's 4'11" ! Then again, if she did mark the car up, so be it. It's just a car.

If lifting is a requirement for your girlfriends then test them before you start going out with them. Sort out your priorities.
