I get that Honda S2000 value is going up... But COME ON MAN!

Look, I get it, I'm glad I got one and I didn't lose an arm. I know the value of the Honda S2000 will only go up. But let's be realistic...

2002, red (If you can even call that red), modded to hell, un-explained new motor, SALVAGE. Asking for $25,000

Nah, that's just full retard.

Also hard tops are getting stupid now too. At the beginning of summer they were hovering around 3k. Now people are trying to creep them to 4k; I've seen one for $3,800 and another for 4k....I'm wagering by this time next year they're going to be 5k. Lol, people are out of control. And those weren't for the more rare & desirable colors like BB or LBP/GPW....4k for a Suzuka and I think the other is silver *vomit*

Don't confuse asking prices with value or the sales price. But someone will probably buy this hooptie...

We see the asking prices of S2000s here daily but rarely see the selling prices.

And the dumbest part is people still buy them, when they can get them from the UK for $2-2500.

Craigslist is all I needed to see. People will ask what they want to but it doesn't mean they are worth that. This guy is basically asking for what he paid for the car and full retail on all replacement parts because he thinks that's the way things work. They don't. These are the same cars you see weeks later with MUST SELL THIS WEEK BECAUSE I BOUGHT A NEW CAR.

p.s.
The god awful shift knob tells me everything I need to know about that car.

Should I buy one from the UK?

Probably purchased it around blue book and then spent a wild amount of money, realizing its not for the person and want money back, good luck with that. The hood fit and wrinkly top would have been my choice in throwing wild money around.

How is that car making 350 to the wheels without boost? Unless I missed it somewhere in the description.

Agree. I wouldn't buy this car at any price. For $25,000 you can purchase a really nice, stock, low milage S2000. Why would you you want to buy something that is fairly high milage, looks terrible, with tons of modifications (most mods, unless 100% reversible, lower the resale value of your car, guys!)? And I'm not even asking about the salvage title! Unless the seller can find a true sucker he is in for a rude awakening.

2007 S2000 stock with only 5150 miles...value?

Wondering how much a literally almost new stock 2007 S2k with 5150 miles in formula red would fetch...?
