Default I have a phantom squeak problem, any suggestions?

Any time I go over a bump, I get a high pitched chirp, and it's really starting to get on my nerves. I searched for some causes on this forum (seatbelts, hood, dash, etc..) and it isn't any of those. I think i've located it, and it seems to be coming from the my hardtop catchers/clamps. If I open up the clamps then re-close them the chirping will go away for a bit. Any solutions to this? I'm assuming maybe lube them up with wd-40 or something but I wanted to check first.

My friend had a MY02 with no hardtop and had a similar squeak. It seemed to be coming from the passenger side dash area.

use some shin-etsu (sp?) and grease up the areas that are making noise (front latches/rear catchers). That seems to be the consensus from old hardtop topics when I searched.
