Nice write-up. I went with an AP1 over the AP2 because of the differences listed above. Never looked back.

Thanks for taking the time to write that up. Car & Driver said that the CR has "industrial strength understeer". I am surprised to see such a large difference in the perception of the CR's handling.

If the car had the alignment changed for auto-x, that could have made all the difference.

I also would have never know the CR had an electronic throttle had it not been revealed to me.

My '05 AP2 only had understeer before it got a better alignment. After, even with big 275 v710s on the back, the car would oversteer with a sharp turn of the wheel.

Doesn't it make you want to go out and drive a CR?

If there is anyone in the central Georgia area with a CR who'd be willing to swap cars with me for a test drive, let me know. I promise you that you won't be dissipointed by my sleepy old AP1.

Imo, the ap1 looks like crap compared to the ap2... but you are so right about the bad changes made to the ap2. couldn't stand them.

ap2 with swapped ap1 ecu helps tremendously. 225/255 tires with uk alignment generate a balanced machine. the only thing im still hunting after is a ap1 steering ratio.
