AP1 love
I have not actually gotten inside a CR, have only seen them locked on the dealer's lot. Is the seat material around the edges that fake suede like material that was used on the old Si seats? To me through the window it looked the same, which I think is an awesome fabric!
I hate my leather seats, and I just drool over those CR seats, they would look awesome in My Spa!

Yep, they have that suede like stuff. Not sure what the actual material is, though.

[QUOTE=sirbunz,Mar 17 2008, 08:53 AM] Some quick note on my CR vs. 05' AP2 comparison.
I finally got to auto-x my CR yesterday at the Nashville region's test and tune. I added the custom valved Konis, solid FSB, old v710s to burn up, and custom alignment prior to the event. This is the same way I had my '05 AP2 setup. The CR felt much more manageable in and out of turns and giving me much more confidence in my 1st gear downshifts. The CR felt like it had much more HP in the straights. Handling characteristics felt the same as the old car everywhere else, but again I was on old v710s that had an event left on them. I did have a problem with rear wheel lift and rear shock settings were 1 turn from soft. Perhaps a stiffer FSB would have fixed the problem.

^^ i am confused, you keep talking about driving a CR but you have completely changed the suspension so you are basically driving an AP2 with soft top deleted, rear chasis stiffner, tighter steering rack ratio and custom suspension. unless i read you wrong, you never drove the CR bone stock at the track? i wish you had given a review of the CR bone stock suspension vs. your 2005 AP2 setup, that would have been the better review.

Yup, I later learned it had shocks and swaybar. (Every else stock, I believe.)
Anybody with a stock CR willing to let me take a few laps, let me know.
