Insurance differences
Anybody know the average insurance ($) difference between an s2k and a lotus?
|
Call your insurance agent to find out? Insurance rate will differ depends on many different factors, so it'll be your best bet to contact your agent as they'll be able to help you out based on your background.

For me the S2000 is $10 more than the Lotus, yes $10 is all it was. That is every 6 months, so 20/year. I am with Allstate in S. Calif.

I agree that this question can only be answered by calling your insurance company -- and maybe a few others. So much depends on where you live, your age, marital status, driving record, credit score, and things we just can't answer on a forum. All I can say is that I always do this before buying another car, to determine whether it will be financially feasible for me.

Too many variables.
However, for me when I did a query with GEICO online, the quote was cheaper for the Lotus Elise/Exige by $80. My current full coverage on the S is $385 every 6. |
why would the lotus be cheaper? that just doesn't make sense to me.

[QUOTE=thebig33tuna,Mar 11 2008, 08:24 AM] why would the lotus be cheaper?

ya upgrading to a lotus has been on my mind for awhile.... might at some point down the road, once i get a daily driver that i can count on. don't think i want one just yet regardless... i might end up like this guy, given my driving history...
http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...EWS01/80216011/ still surprises me that the value of the car + cost of repairs doesn't skyrocket those rates. |
interestingly enough my S is about $300 every 6 months CHEAPER then my 98 Prelude was. :eek3:
