Default Intake Filters

I'm thinking about getting an intake...specifically the unrelease AEM V2...however what kind of filter do the AEM intakes use? K&N? I'm concerned about both hydrolock issues as well as just bad filtering by the K&N air filter...can anyone elaborate on this? Do K&N filters filter catch as much crud as the regular stock filters...how can it if it lets more air in? Who has had an intake installed....4IG or AEM or Injen...for more than 20,000 or 30,000 miles...any long term problems? thanks

Not sure who manufacturers the AEM filter but it's branded AEM.

I have an AEM CAI and the filter actually says "AEM"..............that may have changed recently.

how is the filtering of the filter? I'm just curious if that filter lets a lot of dirt in....

yep, brandon uses a big fat K&N filter. AEM produces their filters in house now.

You're not supposed to clean your stock filter.
