Default Jalopnik Article Mentions Regretful S2000 Sales

For anyone here who is not a frequent Jalopnik reader, this came up today:

https://jalopnik.com/these-are-your-...ets-1824254204

2 mentions of folks regretting selling their S2Ks! Just another reminder that this car is very hard to part with... I hope I never have to go down that road myself!

I was convinced I wanted a C5 Z06, even had a check made to purchase one....took my S out of storage to get it ready for selling and felt instant regret while driving it home. C5/6 purchase is on hold.

I don't think I've ever met a person that didn't have some level of regret at having sold their S...

I've owned an '03 NFR, an '04 Silverstone, an '06 Silverstone and an '02 Spa Yellow...that I sold 2 years ago. I miss it terribly. I just missed out on purchasing an '07 bone stock Silverstone last week. No other decent stock S2Ks in my area so I'm going to look at an '08 Guards Red Cayman later in the week. Never drove it or a Boxster before. Will see how it measures up. If it doesn't, my search for my 5th S2K will continue. I've had sellers remorse each time I sold one of my S2000s.

The Boxster will be nice. It's a different experience though.
IMO I wouldn't swap my S2k for anything other than a 2012 or newer Boxster GTS. The earlier ones don't appeal to me.

Boxsters are basically 110% of an S2000 for 150% of the cost

I sold for an amazing NSX, which I love as much as my S2000.....but I still regret selling my S2000. Every. Damned. Day. Don't sell yours!

I will have a S2000 in the garage with my NSX someday. Preferably my 2002 #8095.

If you can swing it, do like me and have both!

They both have individual character all their own.

10years with the S2k, 4 years with the C5Z.

Life is good.
