The thought has been crossing my mind a lot lately, especially as someone who bought mine pretty young and hasn't had as much experience with other cars. I guess you could compare it to marrying young eh

I test drove a boxster before I bought the S. I liked it but the S new was about 30k and a 2 year old boxster at the time was about 38k, just didn't seem to me to worth more. I asked the sales guy about maintenance on the Porsche, said I heard oil changes were like $200. He laughed and said they were not that bad, only about $150.

When I took the S in for it's first oil change the guy at the dealer said "um, the oil change on the S2000 is more than a normal car, I think it's $36.95 instead of $32.95", I laughed said no problem. I've never regretted getting the S and can't see selling it.

Never drove it or a Boxster before. Will see how it measures up. If it doesn't, my search for my 5th S2K will continue. I've had sellers remorse each time I sold one of my S2000s.
how did you like the Cayman? The 987 was more hardcore than I expected. I drove a couple recently and loved them. Not enough to make me want to part with the S but I might make one my winter car in a few years. When people say the S is also mid-engine because the engine is behind the front wheels...I mean I guess but that’s a very different animal than a rear mid-engine.
