Japanese/JDM Dash? Where do i find one?
Ok, so i'm about to hack up my car and put in a lovely little screen in the dash..
i keep reading all this talk about the japanese version coming with a nav in the dash??
now i drive a RHD s2000 so this would be perfect for me!
can you just buy the dash with the hole cut?? Where from??
And what's this JDM dash i keep hearing about?
i just really want to know the cheapest way of getting dvd and nav on my dash...
thanks for your help!!

A JDM dash is Right Hand Drive, so it won't help you. JDM cars do come with NAV, but if you want it done, just take it to an installer who can do the job right. If you search around the forums you'll find plenty of pics.

There is a big thread about this in the electronics section.
Look for "dash cutting club"
Since you are RHD, life is good.
My understanding is that you will want to obtain the JDM NAV trim ring and have the hole cut into your dash. If you take your dash off, you'll see the location to cut out from behind. There are mounting points you'll see from behind the dash.

If you want a new dash.....I'd start at the Honda dealer.

all good! thanks for your help guys.
so does anyone know where to find that dash? i'm just curious to know how much it costs.. it would be a lot less stress to buy a dash pre-cut...
i don't actually own any tools, so it will be a struggle.. but i'm determined!!
so where can i find the JDM trim even?
thanks again!

You need to find a Japanese Honda dealer that speak english.
Try this guy:
Graham Eric Ware <wristpin@eudoramail.com>
And use this image:
Ideally you'll want the dash, the surround and the mounting bracket.

thanks Aus, now do you think theres any point what so ever in buying the pre-fab dash?
or should i just go find someone to help me hack it up and risk it?
and if so, where can i get the mounting bracket and the surround?
