Board member yes but not the only S2000 with the Spoon motor. I saw invoices of motors already shipped to 2 other states. None in California though.

Theres your problem, ditch the ARC intake, RSR exhaust, T1R test pipe. Keep the Spoon motor and add the other Spoon mods and see how you do. Just a thought.
I went all Toda + J's intake and ecu and will see how that does.
it doesn't really matter to me anymore, I got shot last year and I was the only... I'm boosting it anyways... I'll be the only "that guy" then...

In regards to the ARC, etc, I'm selling it all off, but irregardless, the ecu reacted the way it did, and I don't think it would be any different with a spoon exhaust, etc. My friend had all spoon (he let me borrow the ecu before I bought it to test it), and he pulled at 194whp or something of that nature on an 02...

well, I think I could have gotten more... it was really in the fuel... we all know spoon runs rich without tune...

I hear ya on that one.

I bought my Work S1s and within 3 weeks 10 more sets were sold, so I was like this stuff has to come off and just luckily came a cross an original set of 16 inch black Work Emotions that came off the Spoon #95 car. So I was like perfect change. I even got rid of my Zeals and went with Aragostas.

A lot of guys jumped on the J's bandwagon but I opted to keep my engine bay setup only because its proven on the dyno and it looks ok.
Dont get me wrong my Zeal/Endless/Work setup was nice but I wanted to buy parts that I wanted and a little different from the rest of the crowd. Main reason I went back to Spoon brakes is because they are much smaller and easier to get wheels for.

yeah, it happens... just gotta roll with it... I went with Volks for the time being so I had something different on the car for a shoot... obviously not an exclusive wheel, but I have more dish than anyone else with em... I'm looking for raw performance now though, I still love all the rare JDM goodness, but it's kinda on hold for a bit until I'm satisfied with the power. (if there is any such satisfaction )

BTW, I dig the emotions... I almost got a set years ago in the gold finish (from 95 too I believe, maybe 98?) but I bought the advans instead... ah well, they look great on your car

True.
Yeah the 16 inch Emotions were my favorite wheel back in 2001 and 2002 but could never find a set (nobody would sell them) so I went with black SSR type Cs in 16 inch (remember those?/Hennessey always wanted those wheels). Those were great but you couldnt fit a BBK behind them. Then 3 years later I saw these black ones and I had to have them, even if it meant the Endless calipers had to come off.

Funny thing is, is the Endless calipers fit the 16 Emotions width wise but not height wise. I would need about 2-4 mm of clearance on the top and bottom to clear so that leads me to believe a 17x7- 17x7.5 with a high +30s offset will clear the Endless with no spacers..

I have expierence for all of them.

1) Spoon ECU
I have dynoed on Spoon AP1's car with Spoon intake, Spoon header and N1 exhaust and there was 2whp from low to top. Once we switched the exhaust to the 70mm, it gained another 10whp. I don't have the plots cuz it was awhile back when I did this.

2) Mugen ECU
I have dynoed on JL9000 with Mugen intake, Mugen header and Amuse dual exhaust. Gains are 0whp at peak. There were about 15whp gained at 9k.The only thing changes was the A/F. Mugen has a constant curve staying at 13ish.

3) J's ECU vs Mugen
This dyno was done with s2kboy03. He has J's intake, J's header, T1R 63mm exhaust. From 3000-5600, Mugen makes about 2whp more over J's. J's VTEC engages at 5600rpm and they tried to remove the VTEC dip while Mugen VTEC engages at 5900-6000rpm. There were 14whp gained with J's from 5600-6000rpm. From 6000-8200rpm gains were the same. Peak power Mugen has 3whp over J's. At 9k Mugen made about 5whp over J's as well.

I don't know if anyone of you notice that the Mugen ECU, then engine will "PING" under load throttle at low rpm but the J's is tuned for 91 octane so the "PING" problem wasn't there.

Thanks
Ben

0whp at peak and 15whp at 9k? isnt 9k peak?

Also, if Mugen only changes A/F (13ish, and no timing advance) how can it ping?

Your input as always is greatly appreciated.

AJ PwR, sorry the off-topic, but does those holes in the Js Racing Half Spoiler send fresh!! air to cool the brakes ? If yes, does it bring already the air duct set ?

Thanks!,
