k & n air filter? or intake
I have been doing some research on this site and I think it says that K&N is the best bang for the buck.
Is this for the intake or just the air filter? The intake on eBay is nearly $300!!! isnt this to expensive for an intake? Also, if it is just the air filter which is nearly $ 50. Does the air filter still sound as good as an intake? |
i have the k n intake and 300 is a good price ...there are intakes of more than 500 $ asm jc s mugen spoon
|
i don't think just the airfilter will change your sound at all, someone correct me if i'm wrong.
if you want an intake that sounds good and everything for cheaper than 300, look at the fujita. or buy a used K&N... I have the K&N and i only paid $150 for it. :D |
Filter wont do anything, the intake will give you alittle better throttle
response, thats about it, and yes i have one. |
I have the K&N and it does make more gutteral noise. Also that is a fair price. There are other intakes that are over 1K in price and are Carbon Fiber. To me the K&N is the best bang for the buck and they say can add about 9 extra ponies.
It is an intake tube and a filter and completely replaces the stock intake box. |
Just put the K&N filter on the stock intake. $300 for some pipe is a little overpriced if you ask me.
|
Drop in filter will NOT be as loud, but it will be cheaper!
|
I just got the K&N filter droped into my gutted stock airbox. It does sound beter, I doubt it does anything performance wise  . It will have to tide me over until I can get ITBs though :D
|
also give ***The Official Intake Thread*** a look over before you purchase. let us know what you end up with :hello:
