keyless ignition
i was just thinking...
A few years back, the keyless ignition mod was popular. The S seems to be a good car to do this mod but it has to have a twist. Instead of having the car ignited by pressing the key module, just have turn the battery turned on. When you walk into the car, u can just press the button and go. Heres the major twist, make a copy of the key and seal the in the hole. The orginal modle can be wired into you phone watch or something.
So basicly, heres how it goes...
Youwalk up to you car, pull out your phone or what ever that has the module and press unlock which doubles for turning on the battery. When the module is pressed, the sealed key in the ignition will be turned by a motor or something starting the car battery. As an extra precautionary, the little motor should be hooked up to a seperate battery pack just incast of car battery failure. Then all you have to do as you step into your car is hit the clutch and press the engine start button.
When you press the lock button on the module, the car will be locked and the key will be turned off.
Just a semi stupid idea i was thinking about, please dont flame
It desnt really hold much practicality other that a bit of a cool factor and a slight hinderence in theft (maybe with stupid thevies).

How would you turn the car off? And I wouldn't recommend disconnecting the battery that often. It'll screw with your ECU and your clock and radio will reset every time. Plus, what if you want to sell the car, and there's a key stuck in the ignition?

1st the lock button on the module turns the key in the ignition the other way to shut the car off
2nd theres no disconnecting the battery involved.
3rd thats a good point about when you have to see the car.

Vananron, do you drive an S2K? I have remote start on my truck, but it's an automatic. I got it in high school, about 4 or 5 years ago before those were all that popular, and I was the only person I knew that had it.

Maybe she lefted it in gear and auto-started??
I had a friend that did that, it was cool cause the car started rolling by itself, but it was not cool when the remote didnt respond to shut it off
. Definately do not leave your car in gear when you auto start!!!
