Lift/Hoist For Hardtop 2017

Yeah, it's a nicely designed hoist for sure. I couldn't remember the brand name, but when I looked up Harken hoist after you mentioned it I recognized the packaging that it came in as shown on the web.

Hey Lookstomuch-love this design, been looking at many options for a hardtop hoist since I bought mine last year. I just joined the forum and it doesn't appear I can send a PM yet, could you PM me the parts you used, ie the hooks and straps, pulleys, hoist, etc? I see similar parts available on harbor freight and would like to get those proven to work. Thanks Jeff

Consider Harken hoist. Very highly recommended. Safe and reliable and plenty of mechanical advantage for easy lifting. Easy install. Just be sure to order the right model for the weight and distance off the floor.

If it's the same Harken they are (were?) a manufacturer of high quality, strong, low friction racing sailboat pulleys, ratchet blocks, and other running rigging etc.
Determining the balacing point is critical.
Watching the first video makes me want a hard top even less.

Same company.
Hard top is pretty hanging in my garage and I literally NEVER put it on the car. I drive these cars in the warm weather only. The top is down 95 percent of the time.
