Default Looking for help with translation

Hi all,

As we expand the S2000 community globally we would like to move to include non-English speaking owners as well. I'd like to speak to anyone that could assist in this effort. I'm looking for anyone that can assist with the following languages:
  • Japanese
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese
  • French
  • German
  • Chinese
  • Dutch
  • Arabic

That's not an exclusive list by any means. If you can assist with another language that's great too.

Basically what's involved is converting the English text of all the various screens (about 40 of them) to the target language. There is not a lot of prose, basically just little phrases and words like "new thread" "new reply" and so forth. You will need full fluency in both English and the language you are translating to.

The reward for your time is the great satisfaction of helping to build your community and a swanky S2000 International fleece pullover, perfect for those chilly evenings of top-down bliss

If you would like to help, send me a PM.

Thanks.

There are free translation services through www.yahoo.com. I'm not sure how accurate they are, as I have never used them before. I'm sure there are also other providers of online translation if required.

If there are no Japanese or Chinese translators, I can provide some useful assistance. Let see how things go ...

Cthree:

I can do Spanish... Though the Spaniards present might object to my Mexican dialect.

Regardless, I'd be happy to do it. The differences are minor - from Mexico's point of view

Excellent! Do you know if there are other S2000 sites like this one in Japanese? If so, can you direct me to them? Would having S2000 International in Japanese be popular in Japan?

Thanks.

Last time I remembered ... There is one other site like this but it does not focus completely on S2Ks. I can't remember what the address is but I'm sure many else will be able to. It's very generalized Honda.

Would having this in Japanese be a good option? Seriously, no ... Haven't you realize that there is almost less than 1% of users currently registered whom are Japanese or are from Japan? Reason being there is simply too many tuning magazines, resources and relations in Japan to not even worry about the outside world. After all, everyone looks towards Japan at the end of the day.
