The best way to do the transfer is to go to his bank with him, give him the money, he gives it to the bank, they give him the title which he hands over to you. No chance of getting scammed that way. If you can't go to the bank with him you'll have to give him the money and get the car and trust him to get the title to you at some later date.

Emoore has the right idea. I just did that process in front of the bank teller and it worked like a charm. Good luck and congrats!

You know.. I've never kept the maintenance records (not even of oil changes) for my Camry. If I try to sell it, I'll have a pretty hard time.

i've sold 9 cars.. never one person had asked for records.

As a seller you should prove that the car is in good condition. all body panels have vin stickers, compression/leakdown is good, gears sound good. etc..

yeah i dunno...some people keep all their receipts and papers for all the costs of a car and its maintenance...some dont. All body panels have matching vin #s so thats also a good sign.

nice find for sure.

would you rather the seller have service records that were all fake anyways? Because they aren't hard to forge. And as everyone else said, at 30K, there aren't going to be many service records at all.

like seriously what are you loooking for?

fluid changes, cabin air filer and intake air filter?
